Just a little sample of all the beautiful flowers

Just a little sample of all the beautiful flowers March will be bringing. Currently out of all our ranunculus only the burgundy are blooming, however, new colors are starting to show their little faces. I just wish they would speed things along, I’m growing quite impatient. 😆

My parents planted a row of olive trees years ago

My parents planted a row of olive trees years ago on the farm. The beautiful trees have been picked numerous times for wreaths, garlands, and bouquets; they are my ultimate “go to” when I need greenery. The cats love to climb up them for bird hunting, you can always find an orange or calico creature looking from above judging you. 😉 The way the branches are shaped give floral arrangements life, there is a sense of movement. Planted initially for shade and to harvest the olives, these trees have over the years evolved into an important part of my designs.

My mom is always in the background working like a

My mom is always in the background working like a busy little bee. She never likes to have her picture taken, but sometimes I make her take one. 😆 She’s the one who starts the seeds, makes sure to cover the tunnels every night so that the snapdragons and stock are safe from the frost, and helping me when I overload myself with work (will I ever learn?). It’s truly a team effort to get everything done, and I’m so grateful and blessed to have a mom like her. •
